The Festive High Tea at Zoé’s Lounge in the Fairmont Château Laurier is truly a winter afternoon well spent, where you can enjoy a selection of gourmet sweet and savoury bites in an iconic setting. Bonus for attending during their annual Christmas tree decorating competition and making a day of it in the city.
Annual Christmas tradition:
Decorating our home for the holidays! I love changing up the colour scheme every once in a while. This year’s decor is modern traditional, focusing on deep reds and golds with lots of greenery and natural elements, such as pine cones and berries, to compliment our country home.
Simple Christmas pleasure:
Enjoying the local neighbourhood Christmas lights. Bring the dog, add a decadent hot chocolate, and cross your fingers for a dusting of light snow for some extra holiday magic.
Holiday must-haves:
Gathering for holiday dinners and parties, sharing laughs, and catching up with loved ones is what truly makes this season special. Pair with your favourite wine—mine is a full-bodied Merlot—and ample desserts.
Must-try winter activity:
Bundle up, grab your favourite person (or group of people), and head out to Icelynd Skating Trails. Ice skate among the stars through two kilometres of forested trails, illuminated by twinkling string lights.
