Another fall beauty, I recently had the pleasure of painting a lovely female Shepherd. I enjoyed painting everything about this portrait from her soulful brown eyes, golden red highlights and luscious fur coat. It was especially fitting to have painted Sedona during autumn when the leaves are turning their own shades of gold and red.
Commissioned by Beth from New Jersey to paint a portrait of a friend’s beloved dog who sadly passed away, I was asked to paint Sedona. A loyal companion and wonderful dog, Sedona spent many days on the San Juan Capistrano coast in Orange County, California with her family.
Named after the red rocks of Sedona in the Grand Canyon, this gorgeous girl was adored by all and this keepsake will be a treasure her family can enjoy for years to come.
