Spring is for charity and this upcoming season is definitely not in short supply!
A first time contributor to The Avery Foundation, a rescue that saves homeless and abandoned cats and dogs in Ottawa, look for my donation in their online auction. The foundation provides rescued animals with medical care and strives to find each one a loving and forever home. This March, they will be hosting an online auction to raise funds for their cause. Place your bids on some great items, including Abbie bookmarks and Aspen prints. Visit theaveryfoundation.ca to learn more. Happy bidding!
Next up, look for Mint Julep bookmarks at this year's Ottawa Valley Primary Show Circuit (OVPSC) hunter/jumper awards banquet. Held March 24 at Irish Hills Golf and Country Club, each division champion will receive a pony bookmark in their prize bag.
Congratulations to this year's winners and enjoy your well deserved prizes!
Last but not least, I am happy to share that my work will also be available for bidding at the 20th annual "For the Kids" Charitable Auction, taking place April 19 at the Shaw Centre.
Up for auction this year are two prints of my original painting entitled Aspen as well as a gift certificate for a custom 16" x 16" pet portrait.
A great cause, this auction serves to raise awareness and benefit children and youth with disabilities living in the Ottawa region. Funds raised will be allocated to the Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre’s (OCTC) programs and services at the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO).
Tickets to this event are also available for purchase.
